Casual
from my (sister's) closet: vintage purse
I want to pair this purse with:
Rochas coat, Gap t-shirt, J Brand jeans, and Roberto Festa sandals.
Blue jeans and a white t-shirt paired together is timeless and with a coat worn over, it is instantly elevated to a classier look.
Check out a different outfit post with this clutch here, where I chose an Armand Basi blazer, with a white L'Agence pleated skirt, and multi-coloured Brian Atwood sandals to match the purse and create a simple and chic outfit.

Michelle Rodriguez is the girl that all the boys love to hang with, not only
because she is beautiful, but because they respect her enough to bring her into
their circle. You know that girl who is cool enough and tough enough to kick it
with the boys, the one people call a tomboy? She is Michelle Rodriguez. She’s strong, and a go-getter and she isn’t
taking crap from anybody. She’s as
strong as the men and tougher than them if need be, and even though she has
been accepted into the group she doesn’t depend on them. She’s an independent woman, as we see in the
roles she portrays onscreen. Whenever you watch her films, you may notice one particular look that you often seen in her performances. It’s this
intense expression she does with her eyelids half closed. That one look is
fierce enough to set fear in all of her opponents and win the fight while
barely trying. She is amazing to watch in action. Outside of acting her energy
is contagious and she seems like a lot of fun to be around. She’s an inspiring
woman that we can all learn from; especially in the art of not taking b.s. from
anybody. She is a strong woman, yet still feminine
and fierce, and it hasn’t been a draw back in her career. She has both
beauty and brawn and being a bad-ass tomboy doesn’t take away from her
femininity it's just another side of the multi-faceted, multi-fascinating Michelle Rodriguez that we can relate to.

This past Sunday's school sophisti"cat" wore a look that was edgy and chic by making ankle boots her shoe of choice for that particular outfit. Noi Saf style worn with ankle boots is a look that can be worn for all seasons; from casual to classic, and even tomboy and urban. This is where I would wear each look:

Glam
Get the similar look:
Coat - $328
Dress - $30
Sandals - $99.95
Bag - $112
Sunglasses (option 1) - $144.95 / Sunglasses (option 2) - $9.99

from my (sister's) closet: vintage clutch
I want to pair this clutch with:
Jenny Packham feather headband, asos sandals, and Lela Rose polka dot tulle dress
As promised, a 'from my closet' post with a beautiful tulle dress as the main focus. The simple light and flowly material reminds me of the flapper styles of the 1920's, one of my favourite eras in fashion, so I wanted to create a modern take on that classic look. The sandals matches the dress perfectly, the purse is along the same colour spectrum and isn't flashy and the feather headband brilliantly ties the flapper inspired look together. I love that this outfit is glamorous without being over the top. Check out a different outfit post with this clutch here.

THANDIE NEWTON
She has this one signature look and I’m not sure if she realizes how often this one particular expression crosses her features, but we’re glad for how human and humble it makes her. It took me a while to figure out what this one particular look was, and finally I got it! Compassion, and not just that, but understanding as well, for self and for others. Of course when you see her on the film screen that look is gone and is replaced with whatever emotions are coursing through her character’s veins at the moment. She is brilliant at carrying through emotions on screen, but as soon as the director yells ‘cut’, once again we see her as us.
With just one look you see her as everywoman; a student, a professor, a mother, a first lady, an entrepreneur, a medical surgeon, an artist, a designer, a spiritual guide. There isn’t anyone else who I can bring to mind who has this ability, Thandie is the only person I can think of. She has the reverence of a wise woman who is blessed and happy to share her experiences. Her eyes tell the story of someone that has lived several lives. Whatever the problem, she will have a life lesson, to help guide you, and whenever she speaks she is eloquent and honest and provides pure and real advice. I can literally sit and listen to Thandie Newton speak and not realize the amount of time that has passed. Her voice is captivating, and soothing, and not only that she has a great sense of humor, and she knows how to connect to the person she is having a conversation with. She has a down to earth presence about her, but there is also an unbreakable strength. Being beautiful, and gifted with the lithe figure of a supermodel, as well as having an impeccable taste in fashion was never the final goal for Thandie, I think from an early age she knew her purpose was so much more than that, and we are all lucky because we have someone like her to inspire us. photos: google
