Just In Case dress is inspired by something that is in my closet you've probably seen me feature it twice already. I love the high neckline and the elegant v-cut design at the back. The suede
sandals via Go Jane bring out the neutral tones in the dress and the royal blue
Dior bag highlight the brighter colours, and of course you can always complete any outfit with diamonds, like these
stud earrings by Juicy Couture. They're simple and not too flashy which works perfectly for this look.
The plaid pattern is one of the most distinctive prints in popular fashion, and I like it. I remember a tartan print bag I had a couple years ago that I would carry all the time until it couldn't fit my stuff anymore so I had to switch it out for something a little bigger, wish I had a similar purse right now.

I'm
in awe of Kerry Washington. I remember listening to a speech that she eloquently delivered after
winning an award and she said a couple things that stayed with me: "Heroes
look like all of us." and "The night sky is not lit up by one star, but by the billions of
stars." (This is my mantra at the moment. To remind me that everyone
matters, that I matter) I remember getting goose bumps on my arms. I was
completely transfixed by her. I wanted to stand up and cheer 'Yess Kerry!!!!!' at
the TV screen because I truly felt everything she was saying and I truly
believe in diversity and inclusiveness as she does. She advocates for a world
that she wants to live in where everybody is equal and everybody is included
and that's the world that I want to live in. Everything she does is with so
much regality and grace I'm pretty sure she has royal blood in her veins. Maybe
she is a descendant of African queens, or Grecian goddesses, or she might
possibly be the last matriarch of one of the legendary dynasty's known
throughout history. I can't prove it of course, but what I know for sure is
that as she is right now; she is an icon. She's a true class act, the old fashioned
and modern definition of a lady and a futuristic model for girls to strive to
be. She is elegant, and fierce and classy and so smart. Whenever Kerry speaks I
feel like her words create a secret world for her listeners. She knows how to
draw you in and inspire so you feel that you can tear down barriers and build
bridges in their places. Kerry Washington is definitely one of my biggest
motivators right now, and a great role model for girls everywhere.
Red is bold; it represents love and passion, and when it is cleverly matched with another classic colour like black, the wearer definitely makes a strong statement style wise.
