This Hollywood actress who is currently heating up the box office with multiple blockbusters is unrecognizable as the cover star for W Magazine's November 2015 issue. In the images shot by photographer Steven Klein and styled by Edward Enninful she dons magenta locs with matching lipstick, a feathered dress, ripped stockings, high platforms, a short platinum do (not pictured), and black leather, lace, and jewellery. I've read some harsh criticism of these editorial images but I get the punk rock aesthetic that the stylists were going for so I truly love these photos, especially that first one.
This makes me so happy!! Barbie created a one of a kind doll to honor actress and singer Zendaya Coleman for being a role model, and an advocate for girls empowerment who "encourages girls to raise their voices."
I'm sure you know the infamous tale that propelled this look of Zendaya's into the history books, but just in case you're not aware of all of the details, lets recap the story behind the controversy caused by the comments that Giuliana Rancic made about Zendaya's appearance at the 87th Annual Academy Awards......On Sunday February 22, 2015 Zendaya attended the 87th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood, California wearing a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood dress accessorized with a peach colored clutch, Stuart Weitzman heels, and Chopard jewels; styled by Law Roach (@luxurylaw). Her hair was beautifully done in faux dreadlocs by hairstylist Shelby Swain (@theshelbyswain). Zendaya wanted a hairstyle that was "something new, different, and kind of daring."....The following day on Monday February 23, 2015 the TV show Fashion Police aired their special reporting of the fashion at the Academy Awards and it was during the segment critiquing Zendaya's look — specifically her hair — that co-host Giuliana Rancic offered the petty remark: "Like, I feel like she smells like patchouli oil." ... Someone off camera adds "Or weed," and Giuliana echoes "Maybe Weed?"(source)..... and BOOM! As soon as social media caught wind of that offensive remark all hell broke loose. The backlash that Giuliana and the show received was so intense that not long after the episode aired the show was put on an indefinite hiatus (Eventually returning to E! in September 2015), and two of the show's panelists, Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne left the show. Giuliana who was also a host of E! News left her position as an anchor in August and even though her announcement didn't mention the ongoing conflict there's been speculation that it was the impetus behind her decision to leave....The same night that episode of Fashion Police aired, and in the midst of the firestorm with a huge number of social media users and numerous celebrities showing unequivocal support for her and equal disdain for Fashion Police and Giuliana, Zendaya (who was only 18 years old at the time) offered the most elegant, and classiest response to Giuliana:
Fast forward several months later to September 18, 2015 when the official Barbie twitter account sent out this tweet with the following sketch of Zendaya:

A week later, September 26, 2015, Zendaya arrives at the Barbie Rock 'n Royals concert experience where she was presented with her one of a kind Barbie replica of her now iconic Oscars look, it was at this event that she premiered the Barbie on the pink carpet. *Zendaya wore an MSGM lip printed satin dress, and Christian Louboutin so kate patent red pumps to the event.
She also posted a thank you message to Barbie on her Instagram account:
If you're looking to purchase the Zendaya doll unfortunately as of right now there are no plans to put it on the market but according to Mattel's spokesperson, Michelle Chidoni, if the demand is there then the company will mass produce the dolls for sale. So if you really want the Zendaya barbie, Get loud about it! Spread it like wildfire across all of your social media platforms, and tag Mattel Barbie in all of your posts. Also, write to Mattel and call them non-stop until you see this doll on the shelves in your local department stores and in stores online. Until then all we can do is admire the incredible work that the team at Barbie did in creating Zendaya's tiny replica! She looks so cute, just like Zen!

Actress Sophia Bush attended the Global Citizen Festival (September 26) to end extreme poverty by 2030 in Central Park, New York City along with a host of other celebrities. For the event the actress wore an embellished leather jacket by Coach, black high waist Saint Laurent skinny jeans, and Stella McCartney patent faux-leather platform brogues. I like this outfit alot, and I know the brogues have gotten mixed reviews from a lot of people but I seriously want a pair of them too. Beyonce — who was an headliner at the festival — wore the silver pair a couple of days ago when she was out and about in NYC. This is actually an upcoming trend right now many starlets have been spotted wearing cool brogues and loafers this season.
