I wanted to create a fun casual look with a bold print and lots of colours. So I decided that this SJSP dress (runs from a size Small and up) was perfect, don't you think Adele would look amazing in this? I wanted to switch out the usual 5 inch heel for a flat and I selected these Goodnight Macaroon metal plate ankle strap flats, and completed this fun look with a classic Saint Laurent mini duffel bag. What do you think? Adele's photo: Bauer Griffin
The web of inspiration... we all live in it, and I love it when fashion bloggers pay homage to one another. In this case Natasha (Natasha Atkerson) on the right, was inspired by Mara (M Loves M) and decided to recreate her outfit. And its the same (right down to the pose) but very different when you look at all of the accessories; hat, necklace, bracelets, nail polish, sandals. If you like this, create your version with the similar pieces: Yozi crochet top/BB Dakota lace pullover, Feel the Piece racerback maxi/Vince Camuto maxi dress
Civil rights and women's rights activist Coretta Scott King is probably best known as the wife of Martin Luther King Jr., the iconic non-violent activist and one of the leaders of the American civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, but Coretta Scott actually began activism before she met her husband and she continued her advocacy work long after his assassination in 1968. Coretta was one of the brave women involved in the fight for equal rights and justice who pledged solidarity to the cause and who stood by her husband's side and helped to shoulder the weight of what was the massive ideal to bring about positive social changes in America through non-violent activism.
Stripes and dots are a popular fashion pair. The two play well off of each other in all the varying colour combinations possible. The dots could be substituted for stars, hearts, diamonds, or any other smaller shape and the stripes could be substituted for something more complex like tartan stripes, animal stripes, or zig-zags, and this fashion match-up would still be 'dots & stripes'. These two together are simple and easy. I don't feel like too much thought needs to go into creating an outfit with these as the main focus because it's obvious that it will work.

I had this oufit in mind for Margaret Cho because I thought a classic white dress would look great on her. Originally I was searching for a spaghetti strap white dress because I know that she has a lot of colourful tattos and that style would show them off beautifully, but I couldn't find one so I ended up choosing this Xclusive Collection floral lace dress and finished this outfit with Gucci patent ankle strap sandals and a leather M2Malletier clutch bag. I actually Iove this look a lot, it's very elegant, and that's exactly what I was going for. Margaret's photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images via Zimbio

Midnight: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah. Synopsis: Midnight, the title character is born and raised in a wealthy, and influential Sudanese Islamic family, but when his father's empire is attacked his father sends his seven year old son and pregnant wife Umma, to the United States. Once Midnight and his mother arrive in Brooklyn, New York, Midnight becomes his family's protector and has to learn to navigate his new life in America while remaining true to his faith and culture. Seven years later he and Akemi, a Japanese girl who speaks only a handful of English words meet and fall in love and the way they communicate with each other is tender, and beautiful. Midnight speaks Arabic and English but doesn't speak Japanese, Mandarin, or Korean, which are all of the languages that Akemi speaks. I don't think that I can write anymore without giving away spoilers but you can pick up a copy of the book to know more and in the meantime read an excerpt over at Amazon.
