I saw the photo of actress Naomie Harris (on the left) at the Oxfam Charity Gala in Dubai in 2013 and was blown away by her look, in particular the color of her dress in contrast to the bright blue eyeshadow, so I made a mental note of it and decided to create some sort of post about it. It wasn't until recently that other similar color combinations starting to pop up which prompted me to dig for different variations in style and color. From early on we're sort of given distinct theories of who the colors Blue and Pink are for, and what they represent, and the colors also have different meanings associated with them in different cultures all over the world, but this post has nothing to do with any of that. I just truly love this combination. Rihanna's pale pink and silvery-blue combination and Rita Ora's deep champagne and glitter cobalt are great pairings that make a strong impression style wise. Keep reading to see both, including actress Yolonda Ross, and singer Katy Perry's interpretation of this look. Images: Getty, Bauer Griffin.

Naomie Harris
Goddess Naomie Harris attended the Oxfam Charity Gala as part of the 10th Annual Dubai International Film Festival on December 11, 2013 in the United Arab Emirates. The actress wore a coral colored Monique Lhuillier (Spring 2014) dress with Cerulean eyeshadow that beautifully accentuated her gorgeous brown eyes. Images: Getty.

This was pop superstar Rihanna at the BET Awards in Los Angeles, California on June 27, 2006. Her style has since evolved into icon status but this look proves that she has always had stylish moments on the red carpet. That year Rih wore a strapless pink dress with a sweetheart neckline that was designed with soft pleated fabric flowing from the bust front-center to the hem of the knee-length creation. Her look was highlighted with silvery-blue eyeshadow and completed with pink and blue drop gemstone earrings, silver sandals, and a crown of braids fitting for a pop princess. Images: Bauer Griffin.

Yolonda Ross
Yolonda Ross attended the Lifetime Network breakfast for the biopic film Whitney on January 8, 2015 in Pasadena, California during the WTCA press tour. The actress wore a bright pink Carmen Marc Valvo sleeveless dress (similar Carmen Marc Valvo rosette print dress), paired with gold cuff Steve Madden floral pumps and contrasted her similar tone outfit with Sapphire eyeshadow — the lady is undeniably beautiful. Did anyone catch Yolonda's performance in Whitney when it premiered January 17th on Lifetime? Images: Getty.

Katy Perry
Katy Perry was one of the many attendees at Roc Nation's pre-Grammy brunch at the Soho House on February 11, 2012 in West Hollywood, California. The entertainer's color coordination of her chic bob, and dazzling "Prussian blue" eyeshadow offset the Hot pink top of her Fausto Puglisi dress quite nicely. Images: Getty.

Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria attended the series finale of her hit show Desperate Housewives at W Hollywood on April 29, 2012. The actress opted for a classic look created with a bright pink sheath dress, a mirrored clutch, black platform heels, gorgeous wavy hair, and blue-gray eye shadow that set everything off. Rita Ora
The atomic tangerine/champagne color of Rita Ora's dress is classified as a shade of Orange, but Champagne actually ranges from crystal clear to yellowish-orange hues with hints of pink in the mix, so I'm giving it a pass. This was the singer's red carpet appearance at the 2013 Brit Awards on February 20th at the O2 Arena in London, England. She wore a deep champagne Ulyana Sergeenko couture gown, that she accessorized with Cartier jewels, and a Gucci bag. For her make-up look Rita stuck to her signature bold brows and red lip, but this time she added a touch of pizzazz with glitter Cobalt eyeshadow. That close-up shot ... pretty girl. Images: Getty.
